With police skeptical of her story, she turns to private investigator Connor Sullivan. The former Secret Service agent is dubious but agrees to investigate. Digging into the case he discovers that the incident may have been no accident at all. But if Kate's son is alive, someone is intent on keeping him hidden--and may be willing to go to lethal lengths to protect a sinister secret.
As Irene Hannon's many fans have come to expect, Deceived is filled with complex characters, unexpected twists, and a riveting plot line that accelerates to an explosive finish.

Engaging suspense
Irene Hannon continues in her tradition of writing exceptional Christian romantic suspense with the perfect amount of nail-biting tension and sweet romance.
Kate has moved on with her life. Sort of. Losing both her son and husband in a boating accident three years ago was nothing short of a traumatic and life-alterering tragedy. But Kate's determination to keep moving forward is thoroughly shaken when she spots a boy who could easily be her son. If he wasn't dead. Feeling slightly crazy, Kate turns a private investigator to help sort out what she saw. PI Connor Sullivan, tall, dark, and dizzyingly handsome, is a man who Kate finds both calming and trust-worthy as she relates her story. Together they begin to uncover more about the mysterious little boy Kate saw and his connection to her. As they do, Kate and Connor develop their own connection - one that just might last well beyond the conclusion of the investigation.
The last book the the Private Justice series is just as suspenseful, dramatic and romantic as the previous two. No need to read the series in order, and each book can be read as a standalone, although why not read all three of these brilliant books.
