Mighty fine read
This story is hard to read at times, shades of domestic violence, trauma, fear of love. Stick with it, it's also sexy, sweet too, romantic and the storyline is strong enough to make this reader not want to put the book down.
I've loved this series and hope it continues..(all books are standalones)
Best so far
Out of the whole series I have read, this for me has not only been the best but also the most confronting. In the previous books Jesse has been the larrikan/ douche/ cheekiest/ most complex character but with his story we finally understand why he is the way he is and it almost broke my heart. Bell's history is almost as heartbreaking. I know the hardship, sorrow, terror and difficulties PTSD has on a family all to well and reading Jesse's battle with this devastating illness hit way to close to home. Veteran's come home from one war zone only to face a whole new battle, children who are victims/survivors of parental abuse and victims/survivors of domestic violence are just some who become a casualty of this illness that strikes so many. River has woven a story that is not only cheeky and hot in some very naughty ways, while allowing the reader to understand that even at one's lowest point when all hope may be lost there is a light at the end of the tunnel. She has written a love story that is compelling and sweet, well as sweet as a hard core alpha male and his better half can be.
Awesome again, again.
Third book into series and I'm just loving these men and women. Really enjoyed this book as much as the first two. Just really like the whole series so much.
