Directing The Tides

DIRECTING THE TIDES
A Tale of Love Goes Hollywood

The past has been waiting. The clues have been left behind. And the tide is about to reveal its final secret.

Five years after Lily Taylor and David James first discovered an inexplicable connection to two survivors of the RMS Titanic, the mystery that has followed them across time is far from over.

Now, a startling discovery changes everything they thought they knew about George Baxter.

George didn't die in 1937.

He lived until 1989.

But where was he for more than fifty years—and why did he allow the world to believe he had disappeared?

As Lily, David, and their best friend Kate follow a trail stretching from the decks of the RMS Queen Mary and the shores of Coronado to Hollywood's earliest days of filmmaking, they uncover journals, photographs, forgotten artifacts, and clues deliberately left behind by a man who knew that someday, someone would come looking.

At the center of the mystery lies Dorothy Gibson—Titanic survivor, silent-film actress, and star of the lost 1912 film Saved from the Titanic—along with a heart-shaped necklace whose impossible journey challenges everything Lily and David believe about time, memory, and the ties that bind us across generations.

But George's clues were never meant simply to reveal what happened.

They were meant to lead the right people to the truth.

Blending historical fiction, romance, mystery, and a touch of the unexplained, DIRECTING THE TIDES brings The TIDES Series to its conclusion in a story about love, remembrance, and the responsibility of preserving the stories entrusted to us.

Because some tides aren't meant to be directed.
Only trusted.
