Really good storey line
Really good read!
The first and second parts of the book were really good. But ended abruptly. The remaining storey line got me so caught up in “Ancient Stealth Tech” I was driving home one day and was thinking about when the world will be at this stage.
Diving Into the Wreck
I found this book extremely frustrating to read because the main character is stubborn. As a reluctant leader she has few leadership skills and lacks the discipline to take her ego out of the equation. She repeatedly makes the same mistakes.
Her thought processes are contradictory to her actions.
The reader is made aware, through the main characters thoughts, as to why she might be like this but she doesn’t change …. enough and remains a person I don’t trust to make good, considered decisions. I think her expeditions are grounded in good intent but seriously flawed because she doesn’t share important information with crew members. The missions are compromised. The author does not resolve this by the end of the first book, this weak character needs to show some redeeming features if she is going to carry a reader through the whole series.
