On some days, New York is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
This was one of the other days…
Melody Malone, owner and sole employee of the Angel Detective Agency, has an unexpected caller. It’s movie star Rock Railton, and he thinks someone is out to kill him. When he mentions the ‘kiss of the Angel’, she takes the case. Angels are Melody’s business…
At the press party for Railton’s latest movie, studio owner Max Kliener invites Melody to the film set of their next blockbuster. He’s obviously spotted her potential, and Melody is flattered when Kliener asks her to become a star. But the cost of fame, she’ll soon discover, is greater than anyone could possibly imagine.
Will Melody be able to escape Kliener’s dastardly plan – before the Angels take Manhattan?

Would give it a 5 star if the story were more related the Angels take Manhattan episode. Good as a stand alone story though.
But I would of liked it even better if it had the episodes story in it too.
Not the Angel story we thought.
Although, it is a great story on its own, and kudos to the Author, it isn't the Amelia Williams Novel we were shown in the episode.
The chapters and story are completely different to the Melody Malone book we see in 'the Angels take Manhattan'. The afterward by Amy is missing, and there is nothing relevant to the actual episode.
Still, a riveting shirt story, well worth the $3, it isn't what was expected.
I hope a true-to-episode book will be released that actually does coincide with what we know about it from the episode. The chapters, the dialogue, the afterward; all these that we know would have made a great sale. Even in paperback.
Lets hope that we get the proper book in the near future, so that we can truly relish and remember the Pond's final story.
