HE HAS A SON.
Ryan Matthews is a player. He's also the editor-in-chief of student-run Eyewitness News in Portland. But for all the women — and a few men — who have been in and out of his bed (and office, and the Green Room, and the newsroom couch), part of him has never gotten over the woman who left him three years ago.
And then she came back. Teresa Valdez. She came back, gave him his 3-year-old son, and left again. ICE says she's undocumented and want to put her in a camp: to send her back to a country she left when she was a baby and can't remember. She's on the run.
If Ryan wants his woman back, if he wants to care for his son, there are big changes ahead. His days as a player are over.
This is book 2 in a new-adult suspense series, Newsroom PDX.
Sex. Bad language. Lots of Politics. It's Portland — what can I say?

Fiction driven by real news
The core topic this book addresses is statelessness. Not only the adults who may have entered another country without an appropriate visa, but children who may suffer the consequences through no fault of their own. Thought-provoking stuff, and really well told.
And then there’s more about Ryan. His memory vault is starting to leak…
