Free iBook. Terrible Regency.
Very poorly written. Two dimensional and unbelievable characters. Very poor storyline with people behaving in unbelievable ways. For example Lord Hamish is trying to prevent his brother the Duke from marrying Charlotte, so he pours some whisky from his flask into his brother’s tea while they are having tea with Charlotte’s parents. According to the story, the Duke becomes ridiculously and obviously drunk from one cup of tea with some whisky. Note that the Duke is not only Scottish but runs a Gaming Den, so there is no way that he wouldn’t have noticed the whisky in the tea, and in no way could the whisky have made him drunk. Don’t bother reading this.
