With this issue, we chose to be rebellious. We chose to throw everything we knew from our previous Guidebooks out the window, and empower those of you whose choice of career is usually responded to with a disappointed ‘oh.’ We decided to make a special issue for you, our Creatives. Our country’s Creatives who’ve contributed to centuries of culture, art, literature, music and philosophy – and are yet scrutinised and repeatedly questioned on their decision of career. Malaysia’s Creatives: We’ve got you. Whether you’re currently pursuing the Creative Arts or on the fence about it, this Guidebook’s for you. We start off with busting the myths about the Creative Arts; the approving nod one gets, having decided to pursue the Sciences as compared to the frown and are you sures when it comes to the topic of the Arts (spoiler alert: yes, they’re all myths!). Then, we’re off to exploring some of the coolest buys and creative festivals you can find in Malaysia, as well as a handy list of the exciting companies you can intern at as a student of the Arts. What’s more, we’ve covered Courses & Careers we’ve never touched on before, to serve as useful guides as you pave your way through the Creative Arts. By the way, did you know that Iceland is a haven for the Arts as well? You can flip through our Study Abroad section for more on that! Our goal for this issue, as with every other issue, is to guide you to and through what could be some of the best years of your life, during your university years. But, as we’ve come to see, those of you hoping to pursue the Creative Arts may need a little bit of extra cheer to light the spark in you. And so came about EasyUni’s The Creative Issue. There’s a place in the world for each and every one of you, and if anyone – parents, friends, teachers – tell you any different, well, they’re quite wrong. You can quote us on that!
