Sex, raves and ecstasy is all that Dee Jay (D’Antay Poole Jr) cares about (or does he?). At the start of the 21st Century, Dee Jay spends most nights living a nocturnal existence, looking for his next anonymous, ecstasy-enhanced sexual encounter and the instant gratification it offers. It’s a destructive life, but Dee Jay craves it more and more—escaping from the grim reality of “Life in da’ Hood”
One night Dee Jay meets Ledeya at a rave. Ledeya, preaching her credo, Carpe Noctem, promises Dee Jay a night of Ecstasy. Ledeya is everything that Dee-Jay wants, or so he thinks. Ledeya is a vampire, she bites Dee Jay, and now so is he. “Sex, drugs, an’ raves ain’t that important no mo’”—now all Dee Jay thinks about is blood.
Dee Jay is now one of the undead and instead of living “Rave Life” now he is living, “Vamp Life”. Thrown into a life that he doesn’t want, Dee Jay must now make the decision to either drink blood or starve.
