Essentials of Life Insurance provides basic information on the provisions and conditions found in the various types of life policies.  Also covered are the importance of the application, the factors considered by the underwriters and the treatment of benefits under the policy. Written in an easy to understand manner the book provides an actionable approach to the functions of the life insurance industry.


ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Reavis is a long time insurance industry advocate and his experience includes both vocational and academic activities.  He has taught insurance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level at several universities and served as Executive Director of the Insurance School of Chicago.  Professor Reavis has, supplementing his academic degrees, the professional designations of CLU, CPCU, ARM and AIC. As an insurance litigation consultant Dr. Reavis has worked on cases throughout the United States in state and federal courts. In addition to "Essentials of Life Insurance" his insurance publications are numerous and cover life, health, property, casualty insurance as well as risk management.  His recent insurance book "Insurance: Concepts & Coverage" is the first new insurance manuscript published as an e-book.
