Benedict de Spinoza (24 Nov 1632 – 21 Feb 1677) was a Dutch philosopher. He was claimed one of the great rationalist of the philosophy of XVII century and of the most important western philosophers of all. His most valuable and voluminous work is Ethics, that opposed dualism of mind and body. Spinoza had vary controversial view of divine, a thus was excluded from Jewish society. He was modest and moderate in his life and denied most honors and rewards.
