Tara Chen has had her heart broken ten times, by ten different men. Nevertheless, she is still determined to find her perfect match. The only problem? Tara is a romance novel obsessive, and her standards are sky high.
Modern dating apps have killed the meet-cute, so Tara decides to revisit her exes - all ten of them - in the hope of finding her very own trope-worthy second-chance romance. And every heroine needs a sidekick, so she enlists her new flatmate, firefighter Trevor.
Trevor Metcalfe is the first to rush into a burning building but the last to rush into a relationship. Love just isn't his thing. But, the more time they spend together, the more Trevor appreciates Tara's authentic, dramatic self.
Can they break the habits of a lifetime and give their spark a chance?

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Freshly heartbroken after her arrogant fiancé calls off their engagement, and inspired by her widowed grandmother’s second chance romance with an old flame, nurse and social media influencer Tara Li Chen throws herself into tracking down all her ex-boyfriends in the hopes of reigniting the sparks with one of them before the hospital’s Valentine’s Day gala. As an avid romance reader with a modest yet passionate online following, Tara documents her mission for her fans, reconnecting with a motley array of questionable former lovers while trying (and failing) to tamp down on her growing feelings for her new roommate, firefighter Trevor Metcalfe. In true romantic hero style, Trevor is tall, gorgeous, mysterious, afraid of commitment and seemingly completely uninterested in Tara, despite their friendship deepening as they bond in hot tubs, share snacks and watch reality TV shows together. Amy Lea’s cast of characters are thoroughly charming and the chemistry between Tara and Trevor strikes just the right balance to make it clear why these two opposites attract. The inevitable happy ending of this funny, steamy, heart-warming read is well-earned.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
A romance-obsessed social media star refuses to give up on her own happily ever after in Lea's captivating second Influencer rom-com (after Set on You). Bookstagrammer Tara Li Chen is "trash for a second-chance reunion trope," especially after witnessing the real-life rekindling of her Grandma Flo's love for a childhood sweetheart. So Tara decides to date her exes—all but her recent ex-fiancé—in hopes of finding her own second-chance romance. The experiment goes as hilariously badly as readers will expect, and Tara realizes she may be giving off "crazy ex-girlfriend" vibes. Meanwhile, her new roommate, Trevor Metcalfe, has a very different view of relationships—i.e, avoiding them at all costs and bringing home a different woman every night. He can't help but be sucked into Tara's chaotic love life, however, offering much-needed advice and a shoulder to cry on. Their developing friendship is one of the book's chief joys, with Lea making their dynamic feel tender, fun, and entirely believable. Then Trevor appears in one of Tara's livestreams, leading her followers to instantly start rooting for a relationship (or "room-ance") between them. The resulting romance is as sensitive and swoony as it is self-aware, playfully engaging popular romance tropes. This is a winner.
