The former queen stepped closer to him. She raised her hand. At first he flinched, but when her delicate finger traced his jawline, he calmed himself. His breathing deepened, and his strong crisp blue eyes locked with hers. Her finger brushed past his jaw, down his throat, and her hand slipped beneath the collar of his wet shirt.


She placed her hand flat on his chest. She felt his heart erratically beating beneath his muscled chest.
