Falling for You

Another visit to Annapolis Harbor and another great read, Falling for You is book 5 in the series but I do believe Callie and Jonah’s story can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone although I’m sure one visit to Annapolis Harbor will never be enough. We first met this couple in Perfect for You and I was excited to see they were getting their own story, I fell hook, line and sinker for this couple, I was captivated from the first few pages and there was no putting down until I had read the final line. Jonah is at a crossroads, his career looks like it may be cut short through an injury so he invests with his teammates in a sports complex but he is a bit shocked and not entirely happy that his business partner has asked Callie to manage it. He may not be happy with the choice in manager but he will certainly give this venture everything it needs and if that means working with Callie so be it but as this couple work together, spend late nights going over plans the inevitable happens …… I loved everything about this book, I adored Cassie and I loved the relationship she has with her grandfather, I fell hard and fast for Jonah, the Chris sizzling, the banter is witty but it’s the friends and the love that radiates off the pages that takes this book to another level. This is story about hope and trust, it’s about taking a leap of faith but more importantly this is a beautifully written love story. Looking forward to what’s coming next from Annapolis Harbor.

Having read a number of books in the Annapolis Harbor series I was excited to dive in to Callie and Jonah’s story, both of whom we met in Perfect For You. From the first chapter I was drawn in and quickly became hooked on the story that Ms. Coll wove.
After a career ending injury, Jonah is at a crossroads and invests in a sports complex; he is shocked to learn that Callie has been hired to manage it which causes complications for both of them.
As they work together to make the complex a success they are drawn to one another. Jonah appears to be the life of the party but underneath there is so much more to him than the image he protects as Callie learns. The attraction that sizzles between them is nearly impossible to ignore and yet they need too.
I loved both Jonah and Callie. She is determined to prove that she is the right woman for the job, is strong, sassy and independent; I also loved the relationship that she has with her grandpa, so heart warming. Jonah covers up his emotions but he really is a kind, caring protective man who hides behind his “sports” persona; he is a man who has allowed the events of his past to dictate his life.
Falling For You is a well written love story, of hope, trust and finding the one who will accept you no matter what. And taking a leap of faith.

Falling for You is a story that starts slow but really has your attention the further you get into the storyline.
Callie has been an executive assistant for her best friend Reid but he offers her her dream job as manager for Rebel Sports, the new sports complex he owns. Reids teammate Jonah, having injured himself in football doesn’t agree that Callie can handle such a job.
Oh boy, tell a woman she wont be good at something and watch her do her utmost to prove you wrong! Callie is a strong independent woman who has a lot on her plate and Jonah’s comments really strike a chord. When Reid asks Jonah to help Callie with running things, needless to say these two don’t expect the undeniable chemistry and drama that occurs.
I really admired Callie. Her tenacity and her caring way especially in regards to her grandpa. As things progress between these two, jobs and life get in the way. Can Jonah be the man she needs, despite being somewhat closed off? As a professional football player he needs to sort his priorities and work out what’s important.
Callie feels he is hiding something but what happens when a big moment occurs?
I was definitely on tender hooks. A definite good story with characters that touch your heart.
