The Fellowship Of The Fish

by Keith Madsen

While Evan Jordan and his new wife Jessica work toward establishing a nuclear elimination treaty, a terrorist cell from Fallujah, Iraq steals nuclear material and builds a nuclear bomb. it is a threat against all they had worked for. Evan and Jessica work with Iranian friends BehnAm and Afsaneh, Jewish friend Carl Goldman and other Islamic friends in what they have come to call "The Fellowship of the Fish" - a group of different faiths who feel like a minoritry in their respective faiths, as they try to bring about peace between their cultures. BehnAm and Afsaneh step into the terrorist cell's plot when they take back the little girl Amina, who they had rescued from the fighting in Iraq. They find Amina's family plotting to build the bomb, and they try to steal Amina back, but are caught in the attempt. In the meantime, Jessica and Doctor Goldman are caught on the other side of the conflict when a right-wing Israeli group assault them to prevent their work for peace in Israel. Evan and Jessica's adopted daughter Carmen joins the fight through organizing a student prayer-protest. NehnAm and Afsaneh break free, while Evan and Jessica work with Middle-East leaders to avoid nuclear confrontation. It all converges on a major Southern city, when "the Fellowship of the Fish" rush to counter the workof the terrorist cell's angry, desperate leader. Will they be in time?

About Author:

Keith Madsen is an American Baptist Minister who has served churches in Kansas, Washington, Oregon and New Jersey. Presently he is the Associate Pastor of Wilson Memorial Union Church in Watching, New Jersey. In his pastoral capacity he has counseled many families who have lost teenagers and children, a central part of the story in Searching forEden. He has also had an intense personal interest not only in the biblical stories about human origins, but also in historical and archaeological research into that subject. He has long thought that had he not become a minister, he would have liked to have become an archaeologist. Keithhas had a love of writing all of his life. He has used his writing talents in a variety of ways, including not only composing material for religious education, but also the writing of plays foruse in church and community theater. He has also done some acting himself, having particularly enjoyed playing the roles of Jack (C.S.) Lewis (Shadowlands), Atticus Finch (To Killa Mockingbird), and Porfiry (Crime and Punishment.) This background in drama has helped him both with character development and his dramatic touch in writing novels. Keith finds that being part of helping characters come alive in a story is one of his greatest life pleasures. Keith lives in Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, with his wife Cathy. Together they have a "yours, mine and ours" family of four daughters (Jennifer, Angie, Carina and Kayla), a son (Brandon) and nine grandchildren.
