Customer Reviews
Loved it! Just as exciting and engaging as Book 1, where this intriguing storyline first began.
This second book was just as skilfully written and well crafted as the first of this series. The creatively unique storyline smoothly transitions from Book 1 as the reader continues to follow our ‘super-sleuth’ Heroine and self proclaimed detective, Helena, as she continues on a new path set about from the action pact mysteries, (some solved while others continuing to unravel), assisted by new clues attained as Book 1 reached it’s conclusion. Now in Book 2, Helena continues her clue chasing, secret finding and mystery solving by connecting her attempts to be a Detective, inspired by the ways and skills of her idol, Mr Sherlock Holmes. This book continues her adventurous chase using her latest findings, leads and clues in hopes to finally answer lingering questions surrounding her first case of ‘the missing Misty’. At the same time, Helena is continuing to seek more insight into the mysteries surrounding her family heritage, the disappearance, (and assumed deaths), of both of her parents as well as uncovering the strategically buried and increasingly significant secrets that have begun to surface surrounding her parent work.
Along this new adventure, her knowledge of the supernatural world, (previously believing it fanciful notions and stuff of fairytales), continues to broaden and evolve as she has more encounters and experiences with magic and new species. This second instalment of Helena’s multifaceted journey is once again pact with drama, adventure, action, intrigue and suspense. As with the first book, I found I couldn’t help but become fully immersed in this fantastical world that the author has skilfully created and once again, easily reconnected with each of it’s characters, becoming even more emotionally invested. I highly recommend this book to other readers, especially those who also greatly enjoyed Book 1 of this series. A fantastic author and talented writer who will keep you engaged and entertained throughout as their story progresses in Book 2
