Publisher Description
CIA covert operator Savannah James is after intel on a potential coup in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but she needs a partner to infiltrate the organization. Sergeant First Class Cassius Callahan is the perfect choice, except he doesn’t like or trust her, despite the sparks that flare between them. Still, he accepts the assignment, knowing Savannah will pose as his mistress.
They enter battle-worn Congo to expose the financing for the coup. Betrayal stalks them as they follow the money deep into the heart of a jungle where cobalt, gold, and diamonds fund treason. Savannah will stop at nothing to bring down the would-be dictator before he can ignite a firestorm that will engulf all of Africa.
Deep in the sultry rainforest, spy and Green Beret forge a relationship more precious than diamonds, but Cal knows Savannah is willing to sacrifice anything—or anyone—to complete her mission.

African Special Ops
He is a Special Ops Soldier, she is a spy. He hates spooks but has been spellbound since meeting the cold operative Sav while on deployment. If that is even her real name.
When she picks him for her mission can she be trusted?
All is not what it seems in the dangerous depths of Africa. When the mission goes sideways who is to blame, who can be trusted, and who will survive?
This rom-suspense can be read as a stand-alone, but does reference characters from other books in the series. It is a complete novel with hea.
A page turner.
This story was hard to put down. With every step the characters took to solve the problem, another spanner was thrown into the works. What started out as a simple data gathering mission snowballed into the unthinkable.
Savvy (Freya) and Cal (Cassius) are being manipulated by a corrupt official. The extent of this is revealed, bit by bit, as the story unfolds.
There are twists at every point where you think you’ve got everything worked out. This keeps you moving through the story until the next complication is revealed. Which means that it’s hard to put down.
The characters evolve during the story, lowering their barriers and opening themselves to their growing relationship. Their individual skill sets create a great partnership. The mission requires both of them to be successful, despite what one partner may wish.
The descriptions of the country had me checking photos of the area because it felt so real.
A great story and it doesn’t require you to have read the other books in the series. Having said that the first two are now on top of my ‘to read’ pile.
