Forests of Yosemite, Sequoia, and General Grant National Parks

This 1916 National Park Service publication explains the various forests found in Yosemite, Sequoia and General Grant National Parks. Since the first European Americans encountered the forests of the Sierra Nevada mountains, explorers and naturalists have been enraptured by the region's unique ecology. In addition to towering groves of giant sequoia trees, the mountains contain various other pine and oak forests. This publication contains a variety of information on tree characteristics and identification.
