Publisher Description
Grace Storey can’t wait to escape her small-town chaos and head for the big city for three main reasons: Work. Better cell-phone service. And the prospect of meeting her very own Prince Charming. After all, when the guy you crushed on since high school turns out to be a psychopath, and the only viable alternative is Creepy Keith, you need to take drastic measures to ensure life as a crazy cat lady is not in your future.
What she doesn't need is a bad-boy musician with a penchant for getting under her skin. Sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll are the last things on her mind.
Darcy Fortune has three things on his mind: Sex. Drugs. And rock ’n’ roll (in that order). It’s how it has to be to keep the pain from his past at bay. After all, when you’ve lost someone you love, it’s easier to numb the hurt to keep on surviving. Easier to turn off your feelings than face the cold, harsh truth.
What he doesn’t expect is the sassy reporter with so much soul in her eyes. Could this woman be the one who breaks him?
Playing it safe has never been as dangerous as this.

What a read!
I loved this book. Grace and Darcy are amazing and I love the way Lauren brings characters from her other books into play. It makes me want to reread them all again!
Loved it!!
I love Lauren K. McKellar’s writing. Darcy and Grace are fabulous characters and I devoured their story as I knew I would. Thank you for another fabulous release.

What happens when a country girl from a small town meets a big bad rocker from the US who is touring Australia? One of the craziest rides of her life. When Grace leaves her small town for the big city lights of Sydney in the hopes of following her dreams and landing the job she had always wanted. Her first day in the city though, is like a comedy of errors. If I could go wrong it did. Fate works in mysterious ways though because it put her directly in Darcy Fortunes path.
The slow build in this story is EVERYTHING! Lauren McKellar has done an amazing job with this book and I could not put it down. I can't wait to see what Lauren does next! One of the stand out lines for me though is this:
Somehow, I sense that Grace is the Storey her hometown forgot.
And I want to do anything I can to make that right again.
