Publisher Description
I lost my past, my friends, and even my connections to both worlds when I found out I was from the wrong realm.
Now I must put that aside and travel back to the kingdoms to continue my training as the Spirit Priestess.
Only my journey isn’t to Rhodes and those I fought alongside before.
This time, Easton and the other Obscurité warriors will stand by my side as I try to unlock my final three elements.
A Seer’s wish and the calling of the Lumière kingdom calls me forth, thrusting me into another journey where I must trust those on both sides of the age-old war to survive…and keep those I love safe.

Very enjoyable
I love seeing Lyric develop and grow. This is a fantastic continuation of her story. I really enjoyed this story.
From Flame and Ash
The second book in this series sees Lyric unlock more of her elements but it also sees her face great evil and loss. In each book you get more of the background of Maison and the people who live there. The ending just leaves you wanting more.
Fan-Freaking-Tastic
From Flame and Ash is book 2 in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Elements of Five series. If you haven’t had a chance to read book 1 From Breath and Ruin, STOP now and go and read it before reading this book. Yes you can get away with not have read book 1 as the book gives you enough history to understand what has happened to be able to enjoy and continue with the flow, but why wouldnt you want to get a better understanding of the characters and where they come from. But just a heads up both these books end on cliffhangers so if that’s not your thing I would suggest to wait till From Spirit and Binding is released.
This book had me hooked from the first page, I was so enthralled and captivated by the fantasy, angst, suspense, and funny one liners. I couldn’t put it down and I highly recommend this series to anyone willing to listen to me...
Dark and Light have been at war for so long, many can’t even remember what the war was about to begin with.
Lyric is the Spirit Priestess and so much is expected from her. But having a title isn’t going to help her grow. She is just a baby compared to everyone in the Spirit and Lumiere Kingdoms. But as she evolves and starts to come into her powers you get a fill that she longs to be apart of this world that she had no idea existed and what glimpses she had seen had her so afraid that she was going mad.
I did find that this book seemed to drag and worry to much about who Lyric’s soulmate was instead of her focusing and working on her powers. I would have liked to see more of Lyric growing to be this strong powerful Spirit Priestess, instead of being a typical teenage girl worrying about boys.
But overall it was a very wonderful, addictive, captivating story and can’t wait to read From Spirit and Binding.
