Furry Friends

Lolly loves her soft, furry, stuffed animals who live and play on her bed. She shares the names of all her many furry friends with the reader. At bedtime, it’s time for a lullaby and saying “goodnight” to her friends. She knows they’ll always be there and be near when morning comes.



Before she closes her eyes, she takes the love she feels for her furry friends into her dreams.



About the Author



Karen Mortimer is a wife, mother, grandmother, musician, and artist whose life is dedicated to working with young children. They have inspired the writing of hundreds of children’s songs as a pre-school music teacher. Karen also created and hosted a syndicated children’s radio ministry, Karen & Kids.



In retirement, Karen looked for ways to share her gifts and talents. Since she loves painting, she self-illustrated her debut picture book Furry Friends in watercolors. The book is based on a lullaby she wrote and tells the story of a little girl, Lolly, and her love for her stuffed animals.
