Through a humorous twist of fate, Mr. Hacker was "volunteered" to coach childrens soccer during the seventies, and continued to workwith young people through the eighties, nineties and early two thousands.In the beginning there were no soccer fields or well groomed complexes, soccer moms nor even any youth size soccer balls in the stores. A lot of history transpired during that period and as chronologically noted, effected the authors life in many wonderous and sometimes bizzare ways - which makes for a colorful and many times inspirational reading.While only a handful of teams are noted in this accounting, Coach Hacker trained over six hundred and fifty youngers in four different cities during his thirty-five year romp through young soccer.
