About the author
Holly Smale is the author of Geek Girl, Model Misfit and Picture Perfect. She was unexpectedly spotted by a top London modelling agency at the age of fifteen and spent the following two years falling over on catwalks, going bright red and breaking things she couldn’t afford to replace. By the time Holly had graduated from Bristol University with a BA in English Literature and an MA in Shakespeare she had given up modelling and set herself on the path to becoming a writer.

Geek Girl by Holly Smale
I recommend this book to girls , I am only 10 myself but thoroughly enjoyed the series they are witty and engaging and did you know that bluebirds can’t see the color blue? just one of the amazing facts learnt whilst reading this book.
I also recommend reading the rest of the series (you can get them all on iBooks) there are 6 in total all filled with interesting and informative facts I am almost certain my lQ has boosted upwards after reading this series .
The main character is a redhead named Harriet who is a certified geek , when she stumbles upon a modeling agent..... well lets just say you should read the books they are filled with Harriets quirky and awkward adventures during her time as an international model.
To sum it up this book will stay in your brain , and your heart for a long time yet.The story will get you laughing so hard you will squeeze orange juice out your nose it will get you crying so few times you will be glad you didn’t read yet another book about world war 2 and nazis.All in all I think. YOU would really like this book.
Geek Girl
An easy read and pretty enjoyable! If you're in the mood for a lighthearted and quirky book Geek Girl is what you need. Loved the interesting yet mainly useless facts Smale has integrated. Be warned though, it's a classic cliché!

I only recently finished reading the Geek Girl series and it has been some of the best books I've read in a while. The characters are relateable and quirky and seriously entertaining. Holly Smale does a wonderful job of embedding facts throughout the book which just make this book so much better. I can't wait for the next book! Anyone who is scrolling through here wondering if they should by this book, do it. It is definitely worth your time and money!!!
