Getting Real by Emma Chase
Connor and Violet have been colleagues in the ER for some time, Connor as a doctor and Violet as a nurse. Connor has always been attracted to Violet but never acted on it considering both the age difference and the fact that they work together. Having said that, Violet has also been crushing from a distance and didn’t think that would ever be reciprocated.
I loved how the relationship between Connor and Violet developed and progressed. Connor being a single dad of three awesome boys had a full plate but the way he included Violet into that jam-packed life was wonderful. Obviously they had some issues to get through but overall, this was a low-angst book - my favourite kind!
I enjoyed this book and the characters so very much. It had been such an insanely long time since I’d read an Emma Chase book and this was a fantastic one to get me reacquainted with her again.
