Ghost empire
This,book is a good read the first time around. I shall read it again with great care as it introduces names, characters and places which I have never heard of before, and so must go off and find out more about them.
Thank goodness Richard Fidler writes as he speaks as it provides an immediacy that the mix of his and Joe's adventures only intensifies. Thanks for a damn good book!
Byzantine Empire/Constantinople
If you have any interest regarding byzantium and the eastern Roman Empire,this book is a must. Richard Fidler’s detail and research on the subject is second to none. Excellent.
