Publisher Description
Todd Strasser’s acclaimed account of school violence that Kirkus Reviews calls “vivid, distressing, and all too real.”
For as long as they can remember, Brendan and Gary have been mercilessly teased and harassed by the jocks who rule Middletown High. But not anymore. Stealing a small arsenal of guns from a neighbor, they take their classmates hostage at a school dance. In the panic of this desperate situation, it soon becomes clear that only one thing matters to Bendan and Gary: revenge.

I'll be thinking about this on for awhile.
Growing up I was bullied, from around grade 1 to the end of high school.
The way the author has described how the victims of the bullying felt is spot on. Many times during this book I caught myself thinking " I've felt exactly like this before."
The two boys have been bullied there whole high school life, they have finally snapped and decided to try and kill the bully's as well.
This book doesn't portray that the bullies deserved to die, or taking a gun to school is a good choice, but what it highlights if that we should all be more kind to one another because careless words that we don't think about can leave a lasting scar on someone else.
I loved the facts about guns and other real school shootings in between the story.
And I didn't expect how it's ended and how Brandon died even if it was foreshadowed well in the book.
Would of loved it to be longer with more detail though.
