Goddess

It's the night of the transit of Venus, and Lady Venus, the goddess who reclines in the Showalter Fountain, is worried. She needs a human woman to accompany her on a sacred mission, and the night is drawing near. If the mission fails . . . well, to be honest, it won't destroy the world, but the soul of a little abandoned statue will die, and isn't that incentive enough?
