Goose Fair

Goose Fair takes Nottingham’s great fair as its weather: crowds, mill girls, and a night in which bargains of several kinds are made. Lawrence writes the city and the factory as a single pulse. A short story of class, desire, and the fog that comes down on a holiday.

This special edition has been created with accessibility in mind. It features a fully adjustable coloured overlay system designed to support readers with Irlen Syndrome, dyslexia, or visual stress. By reducing visual strain and allowing each reader to customise their experience, this edition makes Lawrence’s fairground narrative more comfortable and enjoyable to read.

Rediscover the fairground desire and mill-town atmosphere of Goose Fair in a format thoughtfully crafted to be more inclusive for all readers.
