Grit's Gamble

He saved her from a monster. Now he'll claim her as his own.

When waitress Amber Collins finally escapes her abusive ex-boyfriend's control, she thinks sleeping in her car is freedom. But drug dealer Vinnie Preston doesn't accept rejection—especially when his "property" runs to another man's protection. When Vinnie's crew corners Amber in a small-town diner, Rebel Dawgs Road Captain Grits steps in with lethal efficiency.

The former police chief turned outlaw biker recognizes a woman worth protecting when he sees one. These are exactly the kind of predators who destroyed his faith in the system, and he'll be damned if he lets them terrorize another innocent woman. But claiming Amber means war with a drug operation that has local law enforcement in their pocket and unlimited resources.

As the body count rises and Preston's desperation escalates, Grits discovers that protecting this fierce survivor might be easier than keeping his hands off her. And Amber learns that sometimes the most dangerous man is exactly who you need to feel safe—and the only one worth surrendering to completely.

She thought she'd never be free. He showed her what freedom really means.
