Grumpy Old Vegan

Ten years ago 70-year old Christopher Horan didn't know what a vegan was. If pushed, he'd have guessed they were an unhealthily thin, deadly earnest, dour disapproving types who looked down their noses at the greatest pleasure of man and beast, eating with gusto.

   So there had to be some good reasons for him to become one of them and follow the mantra: 'Eat nothing with a mother or a face.'  A rule he's tried to follow for the last ten years. 

    However, before embarking on his lifestyle change his  wife said, "I'm not going vegan. You'll have to cook your own meals."

    This proved to be a challenge for a man who's cooking skills were limited to beans on toast. And even shopping was an activity he was not very familiar with.

   His quirky book, Grumpy Old Vegan, charts his hilarious mistakes, challenges, successes and failures along with some interesting information along the way
