Guide to the Dnieper

This is the first part of an 11-day cruise down the Dnieper to the Black Sea and the Danube Delta. This volume describes Kyiv (Kiev), the capital of Ukraine. The sights of interest are visited and the significance of each explained with an emphasis on the historical and cultural aspects. With more than 250 photographs and sketch maps it is hoped the the inquisitive tourist will find the information adequate for a a self-guided tour.
