Loved it!
This is one of those books that you think about during the day and race to read at night. It is written with so much heart.
Franny is bereaved and is not coping. She has pushed away everyone who loves her and nothing looks like changing until a single mum and her two kids move in next door.
The characters are well drawn, the plot is utterly believable and is equal parts heartbreaking and uplifting. I laughed, I cried. Simply put, I loved it from start to finish.
I didn’t love it
I wish I could say I loved this book. I just found it so hard to really care about Franny! Of course I found myself caring by the end, but it took a bit too long, and I found the constant drinking and talking to Frank’s various photographs repetitious and ultimately tedious.
What a Waste
To say I dragged myself through this is an understatement. Boring!
