Head Case

Dr. Dean Langley would just kill for a position with the F.B.I.'s Behavioral Science Unit. He's a psychologist with a successful private practice in a sleepy suburban town, and a consultant to the local police department. When lack of experience causes his application to join the government's elite unit to be rejected again, he knows he has no choice but to create that experience. What he does causes Salisbury, Maryland to appear not only on the radar screen of the F.B.I., but the national media as well, with Langley front and center - just where he needs and deserves to be. Detective Troy Harbeson, unlike Langley, is working his way down the career ladder. Allegations of physical abuse and a touch of a drinking problem force his transfer from Baltimore to Salisbury. He's barely been on board a week before a series of horrific events grips the small college town.
