High Above the River

Byron and Mary hitchhike to Bangor, Maine, for an afternoon at the movies. Instead they find themselves victims of a plot demanding $1 million dollar ransom. Mystery, suspense, and murder fill their days as they escape their captors to spend their nights in the woods of northern Maine, and their days fleeing down the Penobscot River. A body is found floating, the new local pastor is found suspect, and the sheriff finds himself at the edge of a precipice ready to plummet 60 feet down to the rocks below.
