I enjoyed reading this book very much! The author’s style of writing enables readers to go on a new journey with each story. I was able to imagine and visualise the setting as well as the characters in great detail whilst reading this book. I love it when authors write in a way that gives the viewers the ability to feel as though they are participating in the story and experiencing a different world. Aside from the captivating writing style and realistic, nostalgic stories, the book is also extremely psychological. Each story is thought provoking as it describes the feelings and thoughts of characters at different stages of life whilst explaining the reasoning behind their way of thinking, actions and struggles through an unbiased point of view. The book is extremely honest in its portrayal of social topics such as immigration and prejudice and does not attempt to sugar coat these concepts in any way which is refreshing! It attempts to search for the “why” behind the human psyche in a form of multiple short stories. I definitely recommend this book!

Fascinating book which brings you to a world of old and beautiful memories. Great writer. I definitely recommend this book!
