If the Spark is Bright, It Lights the Way for both You and Me (From the Editor's Desk‪)‬

Amongst the many problems facing development in southern Africa, energy, or rather the lack of it, remains at the top of the list. Therefore it came as a very welcome surprise to see that energy also features high in the top priorities of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). An overview of the energy sector published recently by the Southern African Research and Documentation Centre offered many insightful observations and policy indicators.
