Igatex 2010: Innovations and Technologies Under One Roof

The 6 th International Garment, Textile Machinery and Accessories (IGATEX) exhibition 2010 took place at the Expo Centre Lahore from 22 nd to 24th October 2010. Pakistan has become a very important market for textile machinery and equipment among other textile manufacturing countries. Considered as one of the top 10 textile exporting countries of the world, Pakistan is the 4 th largest producer of cotton yarn and cloth, and the 3 rd largest player in Asia with a spinning capacity of 5% of total world production. It also ranks 2 nd in the export of yarn, 3 rd in the export of cloth. At IGATEX 2010 the wide range of textile technology on display was greatly appreciated by the visitors including the decision makers as well as the supporting and technical staff of the mills. 360 international exhibitors sent more 250 sales and technical staff in Pakistan to participate in this show.
