Publisher Description
Kaylee knows art, friendship, and love. And because she’s known love, she wants nothing to do with it ever again. She likes her life just the way it is. Her art and her Brushes with Lushes classes keep her sane and happy.
Landon spends his days with numbers and financial spreadsheets. At night, he just wants to relax, but the only way he can do that is with a woman. But these days, not just any woman will do.
Kaylee and Landon do an excellent job of dancing around each other, but no matter how much desire burns between them or their own personal hang-ups, they’ll need to make a choice: life as they know it, or a life that could be so much more.
Author Note: Ink by Numbers is a Montgomery Ink short story and a little different than what you’re used to from me. It’s shorter than my other novellas at only ~15,000 words. It has a complete HEA, and is perfect for a steamy evening, one-sitting read.

Second Chance Love
Ink by numbers is an insight to Kaylee and Landon’s story. If you have read any of the previous Montgomery books you would have read about Kaylee and Landon, well now it’s time to get to know them better. This book is a short novel but it is still jammed packed full of goodness. Another successful book by Carrie Ann Ryan. Thank you for always bring us so much enjoyment with your words.
Kaylee and Landon had tried the relationship angle in the past but in order to protect the friendship bond they have, they thought it would be in their best interest to stay as friends. But how are they supposed to stay friends when they can’t stop thinking or wanting to be together.
Kaylee did what was expected of her, she married the man her mother wanted her to, even though neither her or her ex loved each other. But when keeping her mother happy wasn’t enough, it was time for Kaylee to do what was best for her. Kaylee moved, made friends with the Montgomery’s and their spouses and Landon, opened her art studio and painted.
Landon loves woman, the way they feel, look and smell, but only one woman is constantly filling his mind but she isn’t his. Kissing Kaylee might have been the stupidest thing to do after they both agreed to stay friends, or it might have been the thing to open the door and communication between them.
Very enjoyable read, but I did find it to be a little to short, as I believed there were a few topics that we touched base of but never got the full picture of. I am hoping that Kaylee and Landon will eventually get a full length novel as I would like to find out more about his and her family, and Kaylee’s the ex-husband.
Sweet Read !!!
You can read this book as a stand-alone but you get more enjoyment if you read all the books in order. Carrie Ann you have written an exceptional book as always.
Kaylee and Landon have tried being in a relationship but they knew better, so they stayed as friends.
This is a exceptional book and highly recommend this book for everyone.
Landon and Kaylee
This is a super sweet short read. Landon and Kaylee have been mentioned in earlier books and they have always denied being in a relationship. They just needed time to accept that they needed each other. It is always great to visit the Montgomery's world.
