Daniels alienates new readers by focusing on drawn-out, interwoven story lines with many different characters rather than building a foundation of attraction and trust between Cassidy and Jack. The author further sacrifices believability when the couple is pulled apart and put back together for a forced "happy" ending in a manner that will appall readers seeking a realistic premise in a contemporary romance.
