I had the pleasure of reading Leslie’s book when it was first published in 2011and then interviewing her at the Bellingen Reders and Writers Festival a few weeks later.
To say I loved it then is an understatement but I have to say having just read it again - and taking the time to reflect and ponder I am amazed and transported by her beautiful narrative.
What a story, beautifully told, characters so superbly drawn and the sense of “time and place” so well sculptured. Thank you Leslie for introducing us to the first male-femminist in Joshua.
