A whirlwind, then silence.
Another compelling Higashino read! The story is full of twists and turns, moving from the past then the future. Despite the story spanning just over two decades, Higashino takes enough time for us to get to know the main characters in this thriller. You really need to keep track of the story, the relationships between the characters, and even get into the mindset of Detective Sasagaki, who is the lead investigator of this 20-year old case. The ending leaves you with uncertainty, begging to know more.
