Autumn is in the air, and the extraordinary Corinna Chapman is in her beloved bakery, Earthly Delights. Her dashing private-detective lover, Daniel, is working all hours, her right-hand baker, Jason, is mixing delectable muffins, and her delightful friend and neighbour, Gossamer, is working the till while Gossamer's gorgeous sister Kylie is in absentia after landing a role as a gardening show host. All seems well with the world.


But their cherished Insula, an eight-storey heritage apartment building with a flourishing rooftop garden, is about to feature on TV and land in the cross-hairs of a dodgy real estate developer. Meanwhile, how are missing boys and an attack on Daniel connected? The fate of Insula and their amazing found family hangs in the balance, and everyone will need to step up to survive.


As Corinna and Daniel pursue justice, they face kidnappings, deep corruption, desperate deals, unexpected allies and a creepy ride. Can they trace the perpetrator, rally their neighbours and rescue the missing boy before it's all too late?
