KHUSTI (EN), Traditional indian wrestling

This book is a photographic testimony of the practice of traditional indigna wrestling, khusti. The photos were taken in kolkata and maheswar. I visited these wrestlers on many occasions as i visit Kolkata regularly and I have developed a good relationship with them. Their traditional sport is difficult to sustain so this book is a way for me to raise awareness on it by sharing some beautiful shots of the wrestlers, the training, the fights and the more relaxed moments after the training. I make donations to the sports associations and I donate my photos to a non profit organisation who manages the books and donations so that i can pursue my work taking shots, sharing them with the people I photograph by giving them as many prints as possible and then sharing through publications.
