Publisher Description
Kiss My Boots is the second sultry novel in the Coming Home series from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Harper Sloan. Perfect for fans of Kelly Elliott, Diana Palmer, Jennifer Ryan and Maisey Yates.
Quinn Davis is the stereotypical tomboy who prefers to live her life quietly. Of course, it doesn't help that her heart has been hardened when it comes to devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery rides back into town.
Growing up, Tate only felt truly at home during the long, sweltering summers at his grandparents' farm in Pine Oak, Texas. Now, Tate has returned to his childhood sanctuary - although if he's honest, he's not just back for the wranglers and Stetsons. Quinn was a friend-turned-young-love who Tate lost when life threw him a curveball. But all it takes is one glance at the raven-haired beauty he did his best to forget for him to realize just how much he's been missing...
Want more rugged, charismatic cowboys? Don't miss the rest of this sizzling Texas-set series which began with Lost Rider.

The second in the series and another winner in my humble opinion. This is the story of Quinn Davis and Tate Montgomery. I fell for Quinn's character in the previous book, what a feisty, loyal, independent woman she is and I was intrigued to know what had made her into the woman she is today, now I know, Tate Montgomery.
Quinn has always had to fight for what she wanted. Abandoned by her mother, a father who was a tyrant and looked after by over protective brothers who adore her, she has not had an easy life. Throw in a broken heart and Quinn is determined that no man, least of all the man responsible for said broken heart will touch her heart again.
Tate Montgomery used to spend his summers with his grandparents; it's where he met and fell for Quinn Davis. Now needing sanctuary, he has returned to the one place he always felt at home.
Quinn has always had a hard time trusting and when Tate broker her heart she closed herself off from love. When Tate realises what he has lost and that returning may be more for Quinn than he initially realised, it was obvious he had a hard road to travel to regain her trust and love.
It was obvious that there was a great deal of attraction and unresolved feelings between Quinn and Tate, in fact their encounters are filled with passion almost to the point of exploding.
Ms. Sloan is a writer I have followed for several years, Kiss My Boots is a well written and beautiful story about a second chance at love and in my humble opinion Harper Sloan nailed it.
Can Quinn forgive Tate for the hurt he caused her? Does she still have feelings for him? Can they make this second chance at love work or will the past get in their way?

Book 2 in the Coming Home Series and I would have to say this looks like it's shaping up to another winning series from Harper Sloan. In book one we got glimpses of Quinn Davis and I'm so glad this sassy tomboy got her own book, growing up with two overprotective brothers and no mother wasn't easy but she always thought Tate Montgomery would be there for her, that was till he disappeared and didn't return her calls or letters. Things are not always what they seem and when Tate comes back to town to start his own doctors practice will Quinn listen to what he has to say or will she tell him "Kiss my Boots" !
This is a true love story, it's about family values, loyalty and friendship, its hot and it has just the right amount of humour that will have you giggling to yourself. Great job Harper Sloan, looking forward to book three in this great series.
