Publisher Description

It’s been ten years since clean-cut, sexy-as-hell police officer Todd Keenan had a white-hot fling with wild, uninhibited rocker Erin Brown. What happened between them got under his skin—even if love wasn’t in the cards just yet…

Now that they’re back together, picking up where they left off is tough in light of Erin’s troubled past. As Todd earns her trust, their relationship takes an unexpected turn. Todd’s best friend, Ben, comes to play, arousing their deepest fantasies. The passion they share transforms Erin, but it may not be enough to face the evil she thought she had left behind.

Laid bare

I normally love Lauren Dane books but I don’t think I’ll be continuing with the series.
I didn’t really connect with the characters and I’m not really sure why. It’s the kind of D/s book you read when you don’t really like it all that much. Like BDSM light. Which is totally fine! There’s none of the humiliation or degradation that you get with a lot of that kind of stuff, which I’m not that in to so I was fine with that. The whole thrupple thing was kinda confusing and didn’t even happen until like 2/3 of the way into the book… I dunno. I just wasn’t feeling it and it made it hard to get through.

Here’s some things that made me mark this book down;
1. Calling a vagina a “gate”. Oh man. Hated that.
2. Saying her gate was blooming or that she bloomed… for some reason made me think of a blooming onion. Terribly unsexy. Made me snort every time.
3. Dreadlocks on white people. Need I say more… (omg when he talked about wanting to touch them I gagged at the image I created in my mind)
4. When you have dual or multiple POV’s in a story, you have to be able to tell when one ends and the next starts. You can’t just go from one sentence to the next with a different POV. Start a new chapter or at least put a line break in there somewhere!
5. ACAB

Multiple POV, high volume of spice, 18+
