The International Bestseller!
‘I absolutely adored it. It is the funniest rom-com I've read in a very long time … Andrea stole my heart … I cannot wait to get my hands on whatever Lauren Ho writes next’
Beth O’Leary, Sunday Times bestselling author of The Flatshare
Like all good Chinese children, Andrea Tang is doing her best to fulfil all her mother’s plans for her life: she’s on track to become partner at a top law firm in Singapore, she has a beautiful apartment in the right postcode and a perfect boyfriend who is practically made of husband material.
Except that those plans are unravelling fast: there’s an unfairly attractive new lawyer out to steal her promotion, she has credit-card debt up to her eyeballs, her perfect boyfriend is now her perfect ex-boyfriend and the last single cousin in her family just got engaged, leaving her exposed to romantic meddling on all sides…
For fans of Crazy Rich Asians and Bridget Jones’s Diary comes a hilarious story of love, friendship and the most intrusive people in the world: family.
‘Andrea Tang is wise, witty, flawed and perfectly written. I adored her story, and felt so seen by it. If you loved Crazy Rich Asians you'll gobble this up!’ Laura Jane Williams, bestselling author of Our Stop
‘Both joyfully entertaining and socially perceptive, Lauren Ho’s debut is a vivid read on dating, work and family in Singapore through the lens of a brutally honest protagonist of gold. I loved it’ Naoise Dolan, author of Exciting Times

Customer Reviews
Andrea Tang is just what 2020 needed!
This book is so funny, and clever. The characters are true to reality - flawed but genuinely good people you can’t help but cheer on to success and happiness! Last Tang Standing is a wonderful tale of the many types of love - romantic love, the love between friends and the love between family - that make life precious. Five stars.
Funny moments but super cliched
This book had a lot of potential but unfortunately you could see it was going to take the well trod chick flick route from several chapters in. The supporting chaRacters were likeable enough but the lead was really hard to get behind. We were never actually told what made her attractive to any of her sophisticated paramours in the first place and I found it hard to really understand their motivations. All the legal jargon went on for pages and might have been good in a book where it had relevance but in the case of this book I as a reader simply didn’t care. The thing that bothered me most was her ending up wit her coworker, when Eric Deng was a far more intriguing and complicated character. It would have been an actual interesting read if it subverted the chick flick trope and we watched her chose this sophisticated worldly man and attempt to fit into his world. The low key alcoholism throughout the book also seemed unnecessary- not that I mind it but it just seemed very purposeless and not really suiting such an alpha type character.
my favourite book of 2020
This has to be my fave book of the year, set in my favourite city in the world. Sharp storytelling, hilarious, and so relatable. Andrea’s voice is bang-on and so addictive. I raced to the end, binge reading it in a weekend and was then disappointed it was over. They have to make a movie of this book! Can’t wait to read whatever Lauren writes next.
