He needs a pretend girlfriend and she needs a lawyer and love is not on the docket.
The next Southerland wedding is in London, and lawyer Andrew Coles needs a date. One who will make the journey from Virginia across the pond, who will keep the pitying looks at bay, and make his favorite bridesmaid regret walking away from him. But most importantly one who doesn't come with strings attached. He doesn't need or want the complication of a romantic relationship.
When exotic dancer Candy Graham rear ends a pickup truck on the way to a new job and much needed cash, she knows she's in trouble. Her totaled car puts a damper on her plans and plants her firmly on the wrong side of the law. She needs a lawyer fast and preferably one who can be flexible with payment.
A straightforward business arrangement solves both of their problems. He gets a wedding date with no hidden agenda, and she gets her legal problems to disappear along with an all expense paid trip to England. Perfect. Until a relationship of convenience turns into something neither can live without.
Fabulous Sutherland family continues
I was fortunate to receive a copy of Laws of Attraction in advance with the purpose to provide my honest opinion of the book. So here goes....
Candy and Andrews story continues to follow the Sutherland family as each family member enters the next phase of their lives with commitment to their soul mate and thoughts of the future.
I read the book within a couple of days, juggling life with the precious moments to sit and relax with a good book. As with all good books I had a level of excitement drawing me back to the story and the complexity of Candy and Andrew's relationship.
Whilst the initial meeting of Candy and Andrew is far fetched, I do recognize that for the story to evolve with opposites attracting they did need to crash into each for the story to ignite.
I have no hesitation in recommending the book, especially for those who have followed the triumphs of the other Sutherland family members. I'm looking forward to reading Adam's story in the future and to see how his journey unfolds to true love just as Candy and Andrew.
Beautiful, heart warming romance!
Beautiful, heart warming romance - a must read! It's passionate, tender and completely engrossing. The characters are interesting, life like and exactly the kind of people you'd like in your life. Andrew is sexy, smart, funny, and a little hopeless about falling in love. Candy is classy, sexy, and feisty with a generous heart. I love the way this book is written. You slide into the story and get caught up in the romance within the first few pages with some twists and turns along the way before Andrew and Candy get their happy ever after. I was fortunate to receive an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. Already I can't wait for the next instalment!
