Laser Focused
I found this novel difficult to become involved in as it seemed
so very improbable I could not relate to the story in any way nor to the two main characters. They were both a little too smug about themselves and I kept waiting for a resounding kick in the pants to happen which it did not. Perhaps Part II will have more of a down to earth feel to it.

This is a good book, don't get me wrong, but I've completely had it with authors diving their books into trilogies, when there is no reason to! What happened to just writing a great full length novel? It's frustrating to me as a buyer, especially when there is no stipulation at the end of the blurb that this isn't a complete story. I'd prefer to buy one whole complete book, then get the first free and then the rest in bits and pieces.
