Cuts straight to the chase
This is an example of first class software tutorial writing. The open ending chapter shows you the complete 3D rendering process and encourages you with fine looking results in very little time. The writing is very clear and concise and there is a welcome smattering of humour. I wish all IT books were this well written.
My only suggestion would be to include more video tutorials, the quality of which can be seen on the authors website.
