Lessons from Swat

Fast flowing foamy streams, rivers and falls, snow-capped peaks and beautiful fruit orchards define its physical contours. It is, however, the quality of its people, culture, history and traditions that makes Swat a very distinguished region of Pakistan. One is impressed as much by its physical beauty as its cultural diversity, traditional family values and markedly a unique identity that the rulers of this old princely state cultivated through public education, system of justice and stable, peaceful rule.
